Expandable polystyrene (PSV)
PSV is also called EPS, expanded polystyrene.
These are small hard white spheres. Each granule consists of polystyrene and pentane or isopentane gas. It is mainly produced in a non-flammable, self-extinguishing form.
PSV is used for the production of foam or expanded polystyrene. The granules expand many times and stick together into a dense foam block under the action of steam. Styrofoam is a very light material with excellent thermal insulation, water resistance and impact resistance, so it is used in the transportation of goods.
